Magneto strode with purpose, easily bypassing all of the security that the Brotherhood's lair had been equipped with. He had designed several safeguards himself so that Charles and his merry band would not be able to get in and attack the people he'd brought together under the banner of mutant resistance. Sensing that several of the Brotherhood members were actually home, he knew that he wasn't wasting his time. Moving through the halls, he sent out a small, resonating pulse to those people, like a wind-chime that would alert them to his presence.
He was eager to find out what was what, and what the current situation was.
Finally making it to the meeting area that he had originally designated for such a task, he brought out a small magnetic device and laid it on the table. He waved his hand, and the device came to life, creating a three-dimensional holographic image above the table. It was a representation of New York City, with several key points marked for the benefit of those that would eventually see it.
Then, he waited.

The lair had been pretty much...dull...for the cajun in the past few weeks. This inactivity coming from within the liar was basically the starting point as to why he would go out and into the city most nights. He knew the reason why he was with the brotherhood, he had a blood debt from a man who called himself 'Magneto'. Had it not been for him, maybe Gambit would have been a cadaver floating somewhere in the swamplands. But there he was, at the liar yet again, feeling the urge to go out and 'play' the streets of New York.
All of a sudden, a pulse came throughout the lair. Gambit's eyes widened. There was no mistaking, he was back. He got up from his bed and quickly put on his clothes. A minute passed and he finished putting on his usual outfit, topped with his dark brown trenchcoat. The cajun made his way down the stairs and into the meeting room fo the brotherhood. There he saw him, the man who lead this pack of misfits and provided them sanctuary.
Gambit's face was stoic, yet he couldn't help but have a smirk etched on his lips. He quite enjoyed the fact that the 'boss' was finally back. Now that he's here again, the others knew who'd be in charge and get back to their place. Remy's eyes became glued to the holographic image above the table of the meeting room. The image showed a 3D model of the city. The cajun looked back at the boss and just gave him a faint nod, acknowledging his return to the liar.

A pulse. She felt it. Of course she felt it. Even if she had been only just walking back into the lair or domain or whatever they chose to call this place today. Well, it wasn't that bad. It was just that she was in one of those very rare bad moods. Not that she would really take it out on anyone. Her brother had been a bit nagging earlier when she had gone to visit her family. And the thing that he had been nagging about happened to have been about her most recent ex.
Apparently, despite the fact that he had pushed her out of a car for not putting out and for slapping him when he had commented on thinking that blind chicks should be quicker at it out of desperation to keep a relationship going, he wanted her back. And he was trying to use her younger brother to do it. Takeo didn't know anything about the situation that led to the break up. Azumi hadn't even gone back home until she'd been healed up enough to be able to cover it up to where her family couldn't see it. Even if he didn't know though, she'd told him that it wasn't happening but he'd been still trying. Well, she couldn't really blame him even if it was really getting on her nerves. Kale was always good at manipulating people.
But yes, as she returned to the Brotherhood Lair, Azumi felt that pulse pass through her and through the air around her. Her personal thoughts were put aside as she knew right away that it was a sign that Magneto was there. Not only that, but he wanted his Brotherhood to get themselves to the meeting area. As she entered, she listened very closely but it was hard to tell how many other people were there. She could tell something was going on at the table due to the low hum that came from it, but that was about it.

Madrox had been asleep in bed when he'd felt the pulse. Just enough to wake him up, even if he had a killer headache and really wasn't up to getting up just yet. He had to, though, and yawned as he managed to literally drag himself out of bed. He yawned as he let a dupe head in to the shower, he began to get dressed, looking in the mirror to make sure he didn't look a state. He was just about to leave the room when his dupe returned, joining with Madrox and cleaning him up. It was one of the benefits of his powers, one that, even routine, was always appreciated.
The prevailing thought in his mind, though, was the fact that he'd woken up in an empty bed. The two women he'd met recently had reminded him, at the very least, what a gift it was simply to sit (or stand) with someone and simply have a conversation with them. To interact with them. He had the Brotherhood yes, but that was different... They were colleagues, and as nice as some of them were, it just didn't measure up. Not that he could complain about it... He wasn't mister emo.
Stepping in to the meeting area, he noticed that yes, Magneto was there. So was the Cajun, and that asian girl whose name he had trouble remembering. Azuka? Azuma? Azumi? Maybe, he was terrible with names. Having the ability to duplicate one's self meant that you met a lot of people, so names were hard to remember at times.
"Hey boss." Madrox finally said, picking up a chair, duplicating himself several times, then putting the chairs down before recombining.
Finally sitting down, Madrox waited to see what this was all about.

Magneto did not have to wait long for his call to be answered, Gambit the first to arrive. One of the most... Experienced, of the people that he had recruited in to the Brotherhood. Not that it was making the others look bad; Magneto believed that all mutants under his banner had their own uses, their own purpose in this war against the Homo Sapiens. Gambit, though, was the most "obvious" in terms of power. On the surface, he made things explode. He was much more than that, though; Magneto knew that all too well.
Then entered a young lady, as beautiful as she was deadly. Miss Matsuura. As deadly as any woman he had known in the years he had been fighting the humans. Her ability had made her so potent that Magneto had recently considered making her his personal bodyguard, but such things were not to be decided just yet. He had to assess just how his "Brotherhood" was doing, and if they were ready to go up against Xavier's students.
Then Madrox entered. A bit of a wild-card, though not as much as the Cajun. If there was anyone in this house that Magneto could see betraying him, it was Madrox. He had a conscience. He liked to help those that needed helping. That was a dangerous thing to have, as Magneto worried that Madrox might shy away from doing what needed to be done. They would have to cross that bridge when they came to it, he supposed.
"Hello. I'm glad to see you are all well." Magneto said, showing a little of that "mutanity" that reared its head every now and then.

Goth boots thunked softly against the cold hard floor, the sound echoing some as she walked through the corridors. Her feathers rustled and slid against the surface as the lower feathers of her wings touched the floor. With wings the size of hers on a body the side of hers, it took extra effort to keep them from touching the ground at least by inches and she didn't feel like putting up with that right now. Had this been outdoors, it would have been another story. But, the floors in here were usually clean and this happened to be the case now so she let herself relax a little.
As she spotted a fleck of white out of the corner of her eye, she arched one of her wings so it would be creeping over her shoulder then she reached over before plucking out the white feather that had been there. It had somehow snuck past her attention earlier but it wasn't so lucky now. Sure, it stung, but that didn't really bother her.
"You rang?" She more of commented than asked as she entered the meeting room she had made her way to.

"You rang?"
Magneto's left brow rose for an instant, his eyes giving the young winged one the once over. He remembered that day when he had come across her, bloodied ad beaten after her run-in with the humans. She had been cowed, to such an extent that he almost hadn't helped her. She was a mutant, though, like him, and he knew that giving her the chance to avenge those that had hurt her was a much better option than simply letting her die.
So he had helped her, and brought her here. She could fly; it was the ultimate dream: Freedom in its most basic form. Magneto knew that many would envy her abilities, even if she frightened them at the same time. It was that which made her useful, her ability to affect people on such a large scale being something you couldn't just buy at the dollar store.
"Raven. Keeping out of trouble I hope?" He asked.

I'll just paint the picture of a perfect placeThey got it better than what anyone's told meThey'll be the King of Hearts, and I'm the Queen of SpadesThen they'll fight for me like they were my soldiers[_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_] Her wonderful plants clung to the room she claimed as her own. Vines crawled up the wall, some even dangled around, giving the room a forest feel to it. Flowers filled the room with pleasant scents that Clover enjoyed as she walked barefoot upon the grass growing upon the floor. There was no sunlight in here, just the UV lights that rested within the ceiling, placed strategically to light the entire room. This was where Clover stood when she felt it, the presence of Magneto running through the complex, and it came to life. A soft smile pressed to her lips as she trotted out of her room, spotting Raven who walked on past her doorway. That woman was odd and Clover couldn't quite place what was so different about her. All Clover knew, was she was not normal, even for a mutant with wings. Shaking her head slowly, Clover stepped out of her room and slowly followed after Raven, letting some distance get between her and the winged woman. To Clover, there was no reason to rush as her bare feet slapped against the cold pavement that was quite clean. Though, that was normally very true whenever she was around. Clover had a thing about keeping her immediate area very clean. Her hands soon pressed down the black dress she was wearing, straightening out those evil wrinkles that annoyed her so much. Happy with her dress, Clover continued on as her blond hair was pulled back into pig tails, and the pigtails bounced with each step she took.
It wasn't long before Clover was walking through the meeting chamber doors and noticed the small group already gathered there. Not everyone was there though since both Tsunami and Medusa were not present at the moment. Clover was unsure if anymore were missing though as those were the two she noticed often because of how they were. Medusa being one of the most changed in the group, almost like Mystique, and Tsunami was just...odd. Either way, she took up a position leaning against a nearby wall as she stared at Magneto. As always, she didn't speak a word and just stood there waiting for the news of what was come as her eyes examined the model of New York that Magneto had so cleverly made with his power.
Staring at that model, Clover instinctively began to wonder how the city would look if it had more plants upon it. She instantly began to picture plants hanging from the skyscrapers and those buildings being ruined with grass growing every which way. A pleasant sigh pushed through her lips as they curled into a smile. The thought was one of bliss, but Clover knew better than to believe that would ever happen. After all, Magneto always had different plans than her own.

"Raven. Keeping out of trouble I hope?" Magneto asked her.
"You hope." She replied, using the last part of his question to turn into a statement she could use.
Not exactly respectable, but not crossing the line of disrespect enough to get him all fussy. Yes, fussy. Because he was an old man, no matter how powerful he might have been, and old men all had their fussy days. Whether it was because of the lack of prunes in the lair or the FOH crawling up his ass and making him cranky. Not that the FOH didn't piss her off too. She just happened to be broody and dark enough to get away with it being blamed on her being emo or goth. Some even found it hot when she was like that. But old people couldn't get away with it as easily. Except possibly Sean Connery. But he was James fuckin' Bond. Shame he wasn't a mutant. Well, as far as she knew, he wasn't. And, the recent loss of the hair on the top of his head... not sexy. If he shaved the rest off, he might be able to redeem himself. MIGHT.
Her eyes and thoughts shifted to the side as one of the other Brotherhoodians slipped into the room. Clover; the chick who turned "flower power" into something more literal and much more deadly.

The cajun was silent, he eyed everyone who entered the room. One by one, the other brotherhood members started to pile into the place where they were summoned. After his entrance was Azumi. The blind girl was still a mystery to the cajun. Outside the fact of her physical defect and her powers, what was more to figure out? He knew all too well there can be more beneath the surface.
Speaking of more, the next person would come in tenfold if he wanted to. Madrox was the next one to arrive, and he did so while he flaunted his powers momentarily. He gave Jamie a smirk, amused as his little entrance specatcle inside the room. The next one to arrive was the one they called Raven. No doubt it would be a fitting name for her jetblack wings. He had no idea what to make of her, but it was interesting how she quickly had a reply for their almighty leader about her getting into trouble.
Finally, there was this girl who entered after Raven. When it gets strange, it gets stranger. For the cajun, it just did. Clover was the latest one who entered, the one who can control plants. She seemed to be a silent sort of person who'd rather clean up things than make a mess. Her OCD-ness did strike the cajun somewhat odd initially, but he figured it wasn't all that bad. So long as the place isn't a pig sty, he's glad to have her on board. He looked at the people inside the room and on his count they were missing about three members.
"So we have one fish, a snake, and a blondie missin....", he softly muttered while a smirk was plastered on his face. Gambit turned his attention back at Magneto and asked, "So boss...nice map we got of New York. What's de plan?"

Alex stayed in the doorway of one of the entrances to the meeting room. Weeks had passed, and Magneto was just now getting around to leading them. He had come to the meeting to show face, but Alex had his own plans, and really he was only here to make sure Magneto's plan didn't interfere with anything of Alex's.
But to show fake interest, he looked at the cajan in the corner as he asked the question everyone was wondering. He looked at the intricate model in front of him, waiting to see what "plan" Magneto could have come up with.

"You hope."
Ah, Raven, always the charmer. Magneto gave her a strange look, one of tolerance yet somehow tinged with amusement. It seemed enough of them were finally here, even if there were a couple missing. No matter, the grapevine, or whatever these children called it, would do enough to keep them all informed. Besides, he didn't want to wait any longer, as he had more than a few things on his mind that needed to be tended to.
"So boss...nice map we got of New York. What's de plan?"
"Plan?" Magneto replied, a smile of amusement on his face.
"Chaos; that is the plan. You must go out, sow discontent. It must appear random at all times; I do not want these homo-sapiens thinking that there is more to our plans than might appear. You are to work alone or in pairs, and to commit random acts of crime. You must make them hate you, make them fear you. That is how we will attain the power we need to deal with their wretched kind."
He took a breath.
"You must be what you were born to be: Superior."

Gambit's ears somewhat ringed when he told them what he wanted. Mayhem, destruction, a message to the entire human race. A small smirk twisted around the cajun's lips. It was about damn time Gambit went out and did some action. He won't be going around the city killing helpless innocents. In fact he'll try to minimize the body count.
What he had in plan, however, involved things that would only be seen on a Michael Bay film. With his powers, it was no doubt what he can do is explosive. He watched those around him inside the room to see their reactions. The cajun figured they would like the thing Magneto wanted them to do. He looked back at Magneto and said with a grin, "Sounds like a plan den."
Slowly, he looked at the other members and spat, "So...watchu all think? De boss just said what needed to be said. We good on dis? Or cat got all your tongues?"

Chaos? Chaos was the plan? Azumi felt a slight tensing inside of her stomach when she heard that part. It wasn't because she couldn't deliver. No, nothing like that. Causing a "blind spot" in a speedy freeway would more than likely bring a decent amount of that. Or directing the same to landing planes or something... But she wasn't sure of she had the heart to. Her mind flicked to several conversations she had had to herself about what she was doing here and what she might do if drastic actions were called for.... And she found herself standing on unstable grounds.
Acts of crime... Was it really called for? She hadn't done any before. Nor was she sure she wanted to. How was this advancing? How was random acts of violence or mayhem or chaos supposed to prove that Mutants were anything but a threat or a bunch of criminals. How would that be being superior? She didn't feel it in her heart... But it wasn't like she could really speak that out right now, was it?
Would it be any different if they found out later that she wasn't in agreement with this? She'd still suffer the consequences. Her family would too. If anything, they might get it worse than if she came straight now with it. Actually, to do something like that here and now might actually cause all the attention to be on her rather than spreading to her parents and her brother.
Azumi gave a small swallow and took a slow breath before preparing herself to fight if she had to.
"No." She spoke out softly.
It was so softly that it was possible that most of them had missed it, if not all.
"This isn't what I signed up for."

It wasn't often that she smiled. She didn't smile, she didn't grin, or anything of the sort usually. No, she was the type to keep a straight face or a slight frown. When she smirked, it usually meant danger. Not for herself.... Alright, maybe a little. But it usually meant danger for others. And she wore one now. The feathers on her wings ruffled but not from disagreement. Oh no, she was in full agreement. Finally, a chance to go out and have some fun on the books.
"You must be what you were born to be: Superior."
Oh she's always been that. There had just been a couple of small speedbumps that had gotten in the way, that's all. But, she wasn't about to pass up an opportunity to use it as an excuse to stretch her wings and her powers some.
"Sounds like a plan den... So...watchu all think? De boss just said what needed to be said. We good on dis? Or cat got all your tongues?"
She was just about to comment on not needing to say anything seeing how they should have known she was more than ready.... But then, the little mouse of a girl spoke up.
"No... This isn't what I signed up for."
What? Raven's eyes instantly went to glaring at her.
"Guess we've got one less Brotherhood member, don't we." She commented.
Instantly, the shadows came to life; tendrils shooting out from the silhouette of the gothic angel and lashed out at the shadow of the little traitor. The midget was snatched up almost Darth Vader style by the throat. ((permission was given))[/color]
