"Sounds like a plan den."
He was glad that someone agreed. He needed to slacken the leash every so often, he knew, but at the same time he had to make sure that they had at least some direction. Even this, his "plan", was meant to straddle the line between mindless anarchy and some form of control. The contradiction amused him, even if he didn't show it on the outside.
"No."
It had been low, almost inaudible. Erik's brow lifted, and he looked at Azumi, the somewhat demure woman that had spoken.
"This isn't what I signed up for."
Oh, she had fire. He liked that. She had compassion. He liked that a little less. He could twist it though; alter it so that she sympathised with her own kind rather than any lesser species.
"Guess we've got one less Brotherhood member, don't we."
Raven. Ever willing to react before thinking. Dark, shadowy tendrils soon snatched Azumi up. Erik barely moved for the first few moments. When he finally spoke, it was confident, assured, and even contained a hint of care.
"Put her down, Raven." He said, an order rather than a request.
His attention turning to Azumi, he smiled.
"Surely you would give an old man a chance to explain? It's a little rude to just assume something, wouldn't you say?" He asked, almost nice about it.

"Guess we've got one less Brotherhood member, don't we."
It was Raven's voice and Azumi wasn't surprised by that or the tone the winged figure spoke in. Wven as she felt some force grip her around the throat and jerk her off of her feet, the secretly blind mutant wondered what Gambit would do. Would he be out for her blood too? Would he be out to defend her? Nothing. She didn't hear anything from him yet. But time went a lot slower when you were about to have your neck snapped by some psycho shadow-bitch.
Her delicate hands went to her throat as she tried to stop the strangelation but met only air as it wasn't really happening to her body. It was her shadow that Raven was attacking if Azumi remembered her powers right, so there was little she could do about it. Small choking sounds came from Azumi and she kicked her legs a little while she squirmed.
"Put her down, Raven." She heard Magneto speak up.
She really hadn't expected to hear him be the one to defend her. Not expected it completely, anyways. There had been a chance of it. She'd known him long enough to figure that. But his reasons though, that was something she couldn't know.
"Surely you would give an old man a chance to explain? It's a little rude to just assume something, wouldn't you say?"
He was speaking to her now, even as she waited for Raven to put her down before she'd faint. All she could do in this point in time was continue to struggle for air that wasn't being allowed to her.
