"Okay, that's a good start. And what about after? Anybody catch him using his powers? Even being close to a mutant can be seen as association."
He wasn't letting up. There had to be a reason behind it though. He might have been less fun than... well, just about everyone else she knew in the world. But, he usually had a reason for things he did.
"I don't know... After the gernade launcher and Jamie being covered in acid and all that screaming, I started having an attack... I passed out while we were looking for my pills... I didn't wake up for a couple of hours and by then, we weren't even at the mall anymore.... I don't see what's so bad about him. Just because he didn't accept the offer to come here? Because, if he was all that bad, he wouldn't have taken me with me when he left. I would have been left behind and who knows what happen from there while I was all unconscious and vulnerable. He took care of me and he brought me home. He just didn't know where my home was until it was a little too late and by then you were coming out blasters at the ready."
She was getting used to it now... That heavy dull pain in her chest like an elephant sitting on it.

"Well, it's nice to see you're feeling up to being insubordinate." Scott said, shutting up.
He had made it quite obvious that he was trying to keep her busy, but he didn't admit it out loud; he never admitted things like that. He was a compassionate person... He really cared, about everyone. It was just never really something he was able to show that well. He was human; he had the full range of emotions. Just because he couldn't really show them that well didn't mean he was cold or detached...
That was just how he came across. He had tried in the past; he really had. The others just always took to it better than he had. The Professor would comfort him; would tell him that Cyclops was meant for greater things, and that in the end it would all work out. How could he know that, though? How could it be that he wasn't just telling him that it was okay not to show it, as long as he felt it?
He had always suspected that it was what had attracted Jean to him in the first place. What he couldn't say or show, he could think, and she would feel it all the same. Magnified, even.

"Well, it's nice to see you're feeling up to being insubordinate."
A soft groan came from her and she rolled onto her side again and faced away from him. Though the medication was finally starting to work all the way, the discomfort still came in small waves. Chassy closed her eyes and curled up a little before taking a slow breath.
"Of course I am... You didn't think that a little thing like a heart skip would keep me down, did you? No chance of it. You know me well enough to know that." She commented with a smirk in her tone.
As she spoke though, her voice had grown softer and softer. A slight tremor passed through her almost with every breath but that was normal for this kind of situation. It was just because she was tired. Chassy gave a soft sigh then just let sleep snatch her up like it had been trying to for the last couple of minutes.

Cyclops had been about to reply when she rolled on to her side, and he could see that her breathing had slowed; she was going asleep. Oh well, it wasn't the first time a woman had rolled over and gone to sleep on him. He was just glad that she was sleeping rather than having any further complications to her health. He did begin a scan though, the silent hum of the portable MRI machine beginning to build a three-dimensional image of her body.
Cyclops was patient, waiting for it to be done, and even though he wasn't a medical doctor, he did have access to ways of finding out if she was all right. When the scan was eventually finished, Scott moved to a monitor and brought up the image of her body. He keyed in several commands, and the computer brought up Chastity's last MRI, and began comparing the two. Well, the computer would do most of the work.
Seeing that she was all right, Scott finally exhaled, letting out a breath that felt like it had been held in for hours. He grabbed a blanket from nearby, putting it over her and making sure she was comfortable. Moving to a nearby refrigerator, he grabbed a bottle of water off of one of the shelves, and began to drink it, waiting for her to wake up. Yes, he was actually going to sit and wait, no matter how long it took.
