"Almost ten o'clock. Got somewhere to be?"
"Oh crap! Oh no! Oh hell!" She muttered to herself in rapid succession as she muttered out in rapid succession as she put her head in her hands.
Oh she was dead. No, worse than dead; she might get lawn duty or something. She was out way past how long she'd expected to be out for and worse, it was an hour past where she could say she got there at the last minute.
"Ugh I hate curfew... They're going to so kill me." She groaned, shaking her head with it still in her hands.
"I've gotta go. Like an hour ago." She stated, lowering her hands and making for the door.
"You didn't bring me too far away from the mall, did you?"
Chastity sighed and brought her hands up, propping herself up on the wall next to the door as she felt a wave of weakness try to seep in.
"Ugh, I can't wait till I'm eighteen. Then I wouldn't have to worry about getting back so soon."

"Oh crap! Oh no! Oh hell!"
It sounded as bad as he'd thought. Oh well. He'd had a good life... Slept around a bit, travelled a bit, seen the world and all that. He'd been to the great wall of china, stood on top of the Eiffel tower, and had a very strange, yet very erotic experience with a Brazilian ladies' soccer team. So if her parents came and did a Hellraiser thing on him, he would have had some sort of worthwhile life...
"Ugh I hate curfew... They're going to so kill me."
Oh shit... Oh shit oh shit oh shit... He was screwed. Big time. God only knew who was going to come after him...
"I've gotta go. Like an hour ago."
He couldn't fly, teleport or even slow down time. Maybe he could drive her there? Would he be quick enough?
"You didn't bring me too far away from the mall, did you?"
He shook his head, though he wasn't sure she'd seen it due to the way she propped herself up against the wall.
"Ugh, I can't wait till I'm eighteen. Then I wouldn't have to worry about getting back so soon."
She wasn't EIGHTEEN? Oh gawd... He was so screwed. He began tapping his foot as he tried to figure out what to do, and when he began to pace he found himself bumping in to a dupe. He'd duped because he was that nervous? That meant it was only going to get WORSE. He figured he might as well make the best of it, and moved to help her, his hand taking hold on the bottom of her arm.
"Come on, I'll get you home. Just tell me where, and if your parents try to kill me, I'll just dupe and run." He said, trying to comfort himself as yet another set of dupes appeared.

He was tapping his foot at first, which didn't do anything to help her calm down. Then, he got up and began to outright pace. Back and forth back and forth and his footsteps doubled before he stopped. Oh yeah, neither of them were at all relaxed. Hey look, they had something in common! They were both FREAKING OUT!... Ok breaths.... she had to take a couple of breaths to slow her heart down and to keep calm. Her heart was still sensitive like it got after an attack.
She felt sick. Ande dizzy. Really dizzy. Which made her feel sicker.
"Come on, I'll get you home. Just tell me where, and if your parents try to kill me, I'll just dupe and run."
Of course he'd assume she lived with her parents. No one assumed that a person was an orphan, as it wasn't exactly popular thing to happen.
"You can't.... I can't bring anyone home. Just.... you can just drop me off at the mall and I'll get home myself from there?" She asked, looking at him now and away from the wall.

"You can't.... I can't bring anyone home. Just.... you can just drop me off at the mall and I'll get home myself from there?"
Madrox shrugged.
"As much as I wanna say that I could do that and that it would be all right, truth is I brought you here, so it's my fault you're gonna be home late. As much as I value my life, It should be me that gets punished for what happened. Besides, you still owe me, and helping me get away with keeping you out after curfew isn't what I had in mind." He said, his tone actually normal, with no hint of her owing him anything untoward.
As his duplicates recombined, Madrox began to calm down a little. He was thinking it over logically in his mind. If the people he was bringing her home to knew about her powers, then they knew bad stuff could happen. He could just explain that rationally and politely, couldn't he? He hadn't done anything to her, and he wasn't some sort of kiddie fiddler. She didn't even look young, but if she was a minor coming home with a guy in his twenties, people could get the wrong idea, and that could be very bad for him.

She gave a small frown and turned so her back was leaning against the wall. Then she took a couple of slow breaths as she thought over the situation. Well... it wouldn't be like she brought home a non-mutant... Maybe he needed a place like that. He might have been out on his own and looking for something just like the Xavier Institute. Even if he didn't seem like he was a student age, he could become a resident or something? Maybe? Possibly?
"Well..."
But she'd stayed out past curfew already and was already in trouble. What if something like this wasn't allowed?
"I don't know which would get me into more trouble to be honest... You're not part of a gang or anything, right? I know there's some mutant gangs out there even if they're hiding from the FOH."

She frowned at him, but it was only a hint to him that he was making some sense to her. It would help her to get out of trouble too, so she had to be admitting that it was a good thing, at least to herself. At least, that was how it seemed.
"Well..."
Well? That was a start. It meant she was considering it.
"I don't know which would get me into more trouble to be honest... You're not part of a gang or anything, right? I know there's some mutant gangs out there even if they're hiding from the FOH."
"Not so much a gang as a safe haven. Why, what would that mean? I'm not going to hurt you or anything, I think I've proven that already." He said, trying to at least seem like he was the kind of person that could be trusted.
He was. Whatever the Brotherhood meant to him or his crime wave, he'd never killed anyone that didn't have it coming. Gang-bangers, crooks, rapists, murderers; those were the kinds of people Madrox had dealt with in the past, and those were the kinds of people that wouldn't be missed. She was different; stupid decision aside, she wasn't a bad person, and he wouldn't treat her as such. He'd even watched over her while she'd slept without taking advantage of her.
He wasn't perfect, but he tried to be good...

"Not so much a gang as a safe haven. Why, what would that mean? I'm not going to hurt you or anything, I think I've proven that already."
"I wasn't exactly worried about you hurting me. If you were out to hurt me you wouldn't have gotten those pills in me. Or, you might have done things to me while I was sleeping. Or that drip could have been heroine and you could have been setting me up to get sold to the highest bidder... things like that." She replied, biting her lower lip a little after and looking to the side with her eyes even if her face remained straight ahead.
"So.... a safe-haven..?"
She went silent as she thought again, biting on the nail of her thumb lightly as she thought over the possibilities. He didn't seem like a bad guy.... And maybe the safe haven was some kind of cluster of mutants that might need help...
"Alright.... I might not get in trouble after-all... I'll tell you the way there." She said finally.

All true. He could have done all that, but he hadn't. He'd thought about it, but that was only because Madrox was just the kind of person to think about stuff like that sometimes. Hey, having a beautiful woman unconscious in the same room as you and having to watch her constantly didn't exactly allow a man to have nothing but shiny, nice thoughts about her. He hadn't acted on them though, so that was the main thing.
"So.... a safe-haven..?"
Well yeah, if you forgot about tank-boy, the snake lady and a boss that just HATED humankind. Sure, everything was rosy as fuck.
"Alright.... I might not get in trouble after-all... I'll tell you the way there."
"Sweet. Let's get a move on."
They were soon packed in to the car, and Madrox was back to feeling all full up again. Within minutes they were on the highway, and Madrox was a bit quiet for a while as he tried to work out what he'[d say to her parents or guardians or whoever it was that looked after her. He hoped it wasn't some sort of mutant pimp, primarily because he probably owed the guy money. Yes, Jamie had "indulged" over the years, and some mutant women had features that no human woman could replicate. At least, he thought so...
"So... Who am I going to be explaining all this to?" He finally asked.

She didn't say much, thinking over the pros and cons of letting this man bring her home. This man, that she just realized she didn't even know the name of. Well, that was something that would need to change before they arrived to the mansion. She couldn't very well see the scenario of "Hey I just brought this stranger who's name I don't even know home with me after accidentally spraying him with alien acid blood and having had him rescue me from a heart attack. By the way, right before we came here we were both in a shady hotel room. Why no, my shirt's not unbuttoned too low, that button happened to have popped off when I went flying from the recoil of the bazooka I shot in what used to be a crowded mall!" going all that well. Oh no.
"So... Who am I going to be explaining all this to?"
"Well, it could be one of a few people or a few people at the same time with where I live. Don't worry though, you're not the one they'd bite... Who are you, anyways? I'm Chastity, most people call me Chassy though."

Her name was Chastity? Oh, he was glad he was in a polite mood, because he could have absolutely destroyed her by commenting on that name. He briefly wondered was it just her name, or was it her nature too? It seemed the more time he spent with her the more of an attraction he had for her, but he had to remember that she was a minor, and that her guardians might not like him ogling their daughter.
He could ogle from a distance, then. Or just not ogle at all. She was too young... She was too young, right? She didn't look it... Damned eyes and brain and- Well, other stuff.
"You can call me Jamie. Nice to meet you Chassy. So you live with a lot of people? A big family? Or you live with other mutants the way I do? I haven't seen you around, so I'm guessing you're with someone else."

Jamie? If there had been any thought of him being a threat to her left, it had instantly been dissolved when she had heard his name. Jamie. That was so..... adorable! With a name like Jamie how could he be a threat to anyone? That was the kind of name a sweetheart would have. The kind of name that would fit someone who was often in good spirits or something. Maybe with a little mischief. If he was serious or dangerous he'd call himself James or something like that. Something less.... ie-ey.
"Actually, I do... but you'll be finding out more about that possibly, in about thirty seconds." She commented before nodding towards the gates they were approaching.
"We're here...."

"Actually, I do... but you'll be finding out more about that possibly, in about thirty seconds."
Thirty seconds? Where were they going? He looked out to see that there were some gates coming up. He couldn't see over the walls and the high trees, but he guessed that if she lived in this part of town then she must have been pretty well off. This wasn't exactly the poorest neighbourhood out there, and he knew that the Xavier Inst-
Oh balls. He said to himself.
"We're here...."
He looked at the sign, and saw that they were in fact outside the Xavier Institute. Shit. If there was one place she was not supposed to bring him to, it was here. He'd be right in the middle of a rock and a hard place now. People on both sides asking him why he was up there.
"The Xavier Institute? You LIVE in the Xavier Institute?" He asked rhetorically, tilting his head back against the head-rest before bringing it forward and resting it against the steering wheel.
"You really should have told me this before. I'm not supposed to be anywhere near her. I know the guy who runs the place, and after the last time we talked, I had told him that I wasn't interested in being one of his little crime fighters. Is that what you are? One of the "X-Men"? Please tell me you're not." Jamie asked, more exasperated than angry, this time looking for a real answer.

Everyone was accounted for. Actually, there was one missing, and as Scott double checked the list using DNA and motion sensors, he found that one of the minors was still out, and that it was after nine o'clock. Curfew. And the one missing? Chastity Trouble. Yes, her name seemed to reflect her status, as she was now AWOL, and Scott didn't like it one bit. She was one of the most powerful kids at the school.
She could have ended up with the Brotherhood, or worse, with some mutant haters in some dark, dank alleyway. Either way it was unacceptable, and Scott wasn't about to let everything fall apart while the Professor was away. He couldn't mess that part up... The Professor would forgive him, but Scott's role as carer would be greatly undermined if he couldn't keep everyone safe at the school.
He had just grabbed his jacket and headed outside to go to the garage when his phone went off. He took it out, then looked at the screen. It was the proximity alarm. Someone had stopped outside the school. Maybe this was her? He hoped so, and started running down the driveway, hoping against hope that she would be back with them.
What he saw when he stepped out through the gate was NOT what he'd wanted to see.
"Chastity, and... Madrox?"
Scott's hand went to his glasses.
"What is this?"

Something wasn't right. He was tensing. Tensing in a way where there was a chance he might freak out at any moment. How did she guess this? Well, she'd known the street life even before she'd been orphaned.
"The Xavier Institute? You LIVE in the Xavier Institute?"
"Um... yeah. I know, I know, it doesn't seem like much on the outsi---"
She didn't get to finish that as he was talking again. A not happy kind of talk. An excited in the wrong way kind of talking.
"You really should have told me this before. I'm not supposed to be anywhere near her. I know the guy who runs the place, and after the last time we talked, I had told him that I wasn't interested in being one of his little crime fighters. Is that what you are? One of the "X-Men"? Please tell me you're not."
"Wait, you---."
Not her moment to finish her statements, it seemed as she saw Summers running towards them.
"Chastity, and... Madrox?.. What is this?"
Oh boy... This was not good... Hand to the glasses too? She looked from one man to the other, her head turning from side to side for her to do so.
"Hey, hold on... You don't need to get all blasty-blasty!" She almost squeaked out.

"Um... yeah. I know, I know, it doesn't seem like much on the outsi---"
He hadn't meant to interrupt her, but right now he wasn't really in the mood for listening. He was in the mood for talking. And panicking. Really panicking.
"Wait, you---."
Then Madrox looked up, and the gates were opening. Who was coming out? Scott fucking Summers. Ol' one eye. Cyclops had been one of the reasons Jamie had said no in the first place. He didn't like him. The guy wasn't a bad guy, he was just... He was crippled by his power sometimes. He wasn't a wingman. And then there was the time they'd had a fight.
Cyclops had straight up kicked his ass. He'd actually out-smarted Jamie, and used his own duplication power against him. Nobody had ever done that before. So yes, there was a LITTLE resentment there.
"What is this?"
Madrox was about to say something, when she piped up.
"Hey, hold on... You don't need to get all blasty-blasty!"
Cyclops was almost at the car by this point, so Madrox turned to her.
"Long story short, he and I don't get on. Please explain this? I'm really not in the mood to get optic blasted. Thanks." Madrox said, looking at her with a bit of a pleading expression.
((I have permission, mwuahahaha))
