When he asked where she was going from here, she gave him a look that told him that he was better off not asking a woman such questions. He'd only end up regretting it. She liked that he was still feeling a little embarrassed, but she didn't show it too much. She played her cards a little close to her chest, though the slight curl of her lip would have indicated that she was enjoying herself just a little. Not that she shouldn't.
"That's for me to know."
She intentionally left out the part about it being for him to find out. She didn't want to give too much away. Not yet.
"I'll make do. Always have."
She was showing a bit more cockiness now, trying to make it seem like he didn't have to worry about her. He honestly didn't. She knew how to look after herself, even after all these years. She appreciated that he cared enough to want to help her, but she still had her doubts, even if they weren't as strong as before.
She was also stalling. Trying to make sure that she could keep him off balance until she actually figured out where she was heading next. She had to find a job too.

He felt slightly intimidated when she gave him 'that look' again after he asked. Gregory felt guitly for having asked that. While he knew her answer was obvious, she won't accept help, he wished she did. As much as he felt she was capable of doing such, the institute might be a better haven for her to further nuture her powers. He let out a sigh as he looked into the horizon. Greg then told her, "I see.."
Slowly, he glanced back at Tabitha and said, "Just remember about what I told you ok? You're always welcome to join me and the others at that place I've told you earlier." Greg ended it with a smile before he took his gaze from her and onto the sky yet again. "Well I think you can head down from here by using the fire exit behind us," Greg said to her as he pointed to the door behind them. He then told her with a grin, "Then again, if you want...I can just drop you off from where we flew."

As he went to telling her to remember what he'd told her, she crossed her arms from where her hands had earlier been on her hips. It wasn't an attitude thing, not this time. More like her already starting on thinking about it.
"I might, an' I might not... I guess it depends on where this place is and how high the standards bar's at y'know?" She said, not really giving him an answer in either direction.
It also depended on how desperate she got, she supposed. But then again there were issues even if she did want to go and try this place out. Issues she wasn't about to talk to him about, that's for sure.
Tabitha began grinning when he commented on him dropping her off down in the alley. Mischief, it was there. And possibly a slight dose of trailer trash crazy.
"How about you drop me off, if you can catch me?" She asked.
Before giving him the chance to fully answer, she went to stepping off the edge of the roof like the possibly crazy blondie she was to see if he really would catch her. Of course, she didn't get a plan in her head on what might happen if he didn't. Not until she'd already gotten to the point where there was nothing under her feet but air.

"The bar of standards?" She had a point about the standards of living there. It was a big step up from what she has. Then again, so was the standard of education. If Tabitha was still required to go and take some classes there. Maybe she'll have a hard time comprehending those subjects by the Institute teachers. Before she could explain a bit more, she had other things on her head.
"How about you drop me off, if you can catch me?"
"Hahha..very funny, like that's gon-OHMYGOSH!" Greg tried to say while laughing her off. He thought she wouldn't do it. Who'd knew she WAS crazy enough to do it. Remembering his danger room sessions about catching falling civilians, he lept off the edge. Greg let his wind powers dive down, and at the last minute, catch the blondie in his arms.
"The heck were you thinking?" he asked her while he was now floating in the air, while still holding her. Slowly he let the wind intensity under both of them decrese to give them a rather slow descent to the ground of the alleyway. Once there, he let her off slowly so she could get some footing. He shook his head before he looked at her with disbelief. She really DID jump off a building. Greg wasn't sure how to feel. A part of him wanted to chastize her for doing such a crazy stunt. The other, however, loved the thrill of that sequence. For the first time, he actually felt like he was a super hero who just saved a damsel in distress.
"So...Boom Boom," he said while she was just a feet or two in front of him. He was slowly breathing, trying to calm his nerves down after his swift rescue of her. "Just...try not to do anything as crazy as that again. You're gonna give me a heart attack. Or something similar," Hurricane said before he let out a light chuckle.

"The bar of standards?"
Yup, bar of standards. But she wasn't going to really explain it to him. He seemed like a smart enough boy to get it even if he was more than a little naive when it came to street life. Alright, a little more than just a little... It had her almost tempted to try to watch out for him or something if she saw him out and about in the city.
"Hahha..very funny, like that's gon-OHMYGOSH!"
She had to admit, for a second there, she wasn't sure on if he was going to catch her or not. Luckily, for both of them, it didn't take him long to dive after her and catch her up in his arms. There was a moment of "oh shit!" still there for a second (luckily not in the literal sense) but a brief moment after, she laughed some.
"The heck were you thinking?"
She laughed a little harder after he'd set her down, before wiping the tears from the laughter from her eyes then giving a sigh. A grin like no other was on her lips and amusement practically caused her eyes to light up. He was alright. Even if he needed to learn how to have a little fun. From the look in his eyes though, she could tell that at least a part of him had thought that was fun.
"Oh you know you liked it." She teased him, reaching out and ruffling his hair a little.
"So...Boom Boom... Just...try not to do anything as crazy as that again. You're gonna give me a heart attack. Or something similar,"
She gave him a smirk at first before biting the tip of her tongue lightly between her teeth.
"Hey, the more you get to know me, the more you'll realize I can't promise somethin' like that." She commented.

He just had a raised eyebrow once she roughed his hair up a bit. Thankfully he wasn't one of those people who thought highly on his hair. If he was, he'd be fussing over why she just messed it up. Once she told him she can't guarantee or promise not doing crazy stuff, he just let out a sigh. He knew she'd pull out more death defying stunts in the future when they hung out. Hopefully it won't pull him into his own demise the next time.
Greg just shook his head and let out a small smile. He then told her, "Well..so long as you don't send me to my untimely demise, I'll be ready for anything next time then." Well, he HOPED he was. He slowly looked at the end of the alleyway before he glanced back at Tabitha. "I'm off. You have a safe day ahead." he said to her as he waved goodbye. Before he woudl leave the alleyway, he looked over his shoulder to see her again and added, "Don't go jumping off random buildings without me ok?"
Greg was slightly sure she' get a laugh out of that. If she won't, tough luck. It was hillarious for him. Greg slowly made his way to the crowd and started to walk back to the mansion.
