"Aw, you're so sweet. I can just feel the love." She commented in sarcastic humor.
Chassy had no problem with joking around with the "L" word. Why? Because she did kind of treat it as one. A joke, that was. If it was a serious thing then her father wouldn't have bailed on his wife his daughter and his unborn child. If it was something serious then her mother wouldn't have given up like she did and died even in knowing her children would be orphaned. And if it was something serious.... she would love her baby brother instead of hating him and being glad that she might never see him again ever.
Chassy's eyes had grown slightly darker while she had been thinking about her family, both from pain and rage. But other than that, there weren't any other signs of her emotions on the outside.
"So, I was told to stay away from you. Like, seriously told to stay away from you, due to you supposedly being one of the bad guys... So, you want to go jet-ski or something?" She asked with a grin.

"Aw, you're so sweet. I can just feel the love."
His brow rose, a smirk appearing on his face as he thought to himself about just how brazen this young woman was turning out to be. To paraphrase: She could talk the talk but, could she walk the walk? He was tempted to try and find out, but the backlash from the X-Twats, could be something that might interfere in any pursuits he might undertake. It sucked, but he had to accept the fact that he might not get many chances...
He could see the look in her eyes that lasted mere seconds, and he wondered what she might be thinking about, but again, he could have been going down a road that could have only ended badly for him. Not because she was from Xavier's, but because he might push too hard and make her feel something she might not want to feel.
"So, I was told to stay away from you. Like, seriously told to stay away from you, due to you supposedly being one of the bad guys... So, you want to go jet-ski or something?"
He smiled.
"Sounds like a plan. Maybe we could hang-glide over the Everglades while we're at it, trying to bait the crocodiles in to attacking us as we fly close to the water too."

Chassy laughed a little and drank a bit more. Then, once she was done with the sipping, she spoke up.
"Aw, come on... Summers is the worst of them when it comes to the lectures and stuff, and even he isn't that bad. He actually took it pretty light on me last time. You just got to know how to talk to him, that's all." She commented.
Wow, Chassy never thought she'd defend Summers before. Not that she'd been all that defensive. It was more of a, well just like what she'd said. He wasn't as bad as people thought he was. Even if he was a bit of a dick.

"Or keel over with a heart-attack." Jamie shot back, smirking and yes, very much going there.
He was finally comfortable enough with her to go there. She'd either hate him for his dark sense of humour, or she'd go with it, and maybe, possibly even share in it. He would have thought it a shame if she'd done the former, as he could have seen them at least becoming good friends, if not more. Yes, sometimes he thought of her like that, but it wasn't something he could just advertise. Besides, he still needed to see if there was a mutual attraction that extended past the playfulness.
Yes, surprisingly, Jamie had never been one to take risks when it came to love. Crime, passion, sex, violence, heroism, villainy, all of that was good, but when he liked someone enough to want to spend time with them without bumping uglies, that was when it had gotten complicated. Mind you, he didn't get hung up on things like that; he wasn't the kind of man to hold back too much. He just liked to... Scout the battlefield, before he sent in his forces. No sense in trying unless you're going to succeed, and all.

"Or keel over with a heart-attack."
Chassy laughed some before making herself give him a false pout.
"Hey, it happened to work pretty well to get us both out of a potentially messy situation!" She replied, still playfully pretending to be insulted.
It wasn't like she cried wolf before that day either. Or planned on doing it again. The last one had been somewhat of a doozie and she wasn't sure on how safe it would be to have too many of those too close together again. Well, as safe as a heart-attack could be considered being.
Chassy wondered briefly if she had really done it to make sure he could get away without there being a fight between Jamie and Summers, or if she was just getting tired of the mess and wanted to be in control of it for once. She picked the earlier option. It made her seem like less of a crazy selfish bitch. And, it also felt like more of an honest answer to herself.

"Hey, it happened to work pretty well to get us both out of a potentially messy situation!"
Of course, the first thing to go through his head when she spoke were thoughts of a messy situation they might want to get themselves in to. He didn't say it out loud, naturally, as for all the secrets that men held from women, the things he was thinking about right now were some of the most important ones. Still, he knew how to play the game, and he hoped that he could win her over, so to speak.
Yes, he was starting to get over the whole "you made my nightmare fuel come to life and almost killed me with acid" thing, and he was even managing to not hate her as much as he had before. Yes, hate. While a part of him had liked her, and still did, a part of him had been furious with her, especially seeing as he wondered what the hell kind of lessons they were learning at Xavier's Institute for perfectly prissy people.
Chassy wasn't so bad, though... Was she?
"So how DID old red eyes take your little excursion? How mad was he? Or did he let you off with a warning because you needed a sick note?"
