Heidi (mother, birth), Gerald (father, birth), Jacklynn (step-mother), & Francis (half-brother).General Appearance:
This less than intimidating woman is five foot, three inches and weights a hundred and twenty-four pounds, so she has a slightly average body type compared to most. Her long dark brown hair often looks like it is black, but it is not quite there. Her eyes are chocolate for their color and are almond shaped. Porcelain white skin covers her entire body and is untouched and as clean as it was when she was a baby. For clothing, it varies, but she tends to wear articles she is most comfortable in.Personality:
Clothes are not the only thing she is cozy with as she is quite proud of who she is on the inside too. Most people look at Lia and believe her to be your ordinary odd child that is worth nothing, but their assumptions are very wrong. She is a complex person that no one could ever fully understand, not even her parents understand her neurotic behaviors, her observant personality, and her anti-social ways. Overlooking her interactions with people for a moment, the first thing people notice about Lia is how deviant she is to the norm. Life to her isn't just a straight line nor is it black and white, there is always something more. Even when she was in the police academy, Lia had her abnormal theories about how some crimes were done, but everyone over looked her ideas just because they could not be done. Quickly she was viewed as the crack pot in the police station when she graduated and had her ideas of aliens, magic, and all that sort of stuff in order to explain the oddities in some crimes. Like money being stolen from a vault that was never opened. She claimed the person either walked right through the wall or somehow teleported inside because that was what made sense to Lia's mind when all of the pieces were put together. Everyone else was clearly thinking it, but she was the only one that dared to say it out loud. For that, she was a laughing stock and no one thought her to be a real officer. Yet, when she was given the chance to join the FBI, everyone was shocked, for they didn't realize how clever she truly was. Her mind did work differently than the police at the station and when she was given the chance to let her ideas fly freely in the FBI, she grabbed it without thought. Here all of her ideas were welcomed, but she quickly began to see one main thing about it all. The FBI, unlike the local police, knew something about all of these events that they were not saying. So, Lia began to use her abilities to see through the guises her colleagues put on in order to keep the truth from her. After all, they only had her here, so they could use her mental prowess. Little did they know, that mental prowess was also going to bring down their lies. Here she showed them she was more than a pair of legs and breasts as her perceptive eyes saw through everything, and she found out that mutants were real. Yet, while she was finding all of this out, she didn't act out of the ordinary as she kept to herself and was quite reserved. She spoke when spoken to, yet never really had anything important to say unless it was about a case. That is where she took the spot of a leader while any other time she was more of a follower. No one around her understood how Lia actually operated and just assumed she was some nut that would eventually kill them all if they were not careful. Of course, no one really did take the time to get to know Lia either. So, they continued to assume she was just another neurotic, observant, and anti-social agent that was brought into the agency because of her skills (or ass in some people's minds) and nothing more.Abilities:
Lia's mind does not work like most as she can find links between any topic, especially if there is a link between them. She can see through most lies, knowing what to look for when someone does lie to her too. Yet, she is not the very best liar herself, though her silence is often her way of not telling the truth. At times, she believes her mind works more like a computer than anything else as she can understand how fast something is going and be able to do all that complex math in her head, yet cannot apply it to anything school wise. She is also very observant and knows when an object is out of place and from there, she puts together the pieces of the puzzle provided.History:
Her childhood was nothing special as her father was an ex-marine who was hard on her in order to make her the best. As for himself, he was a belligerent drunk that didn't understand a single thing about women. Perhaps that is why he was divorced twice. His first wife, Heidi, was the one she knew as her mother, well sort of. Heidi didn't want anything to do with Gerald and thus nothing to do with Lia either. Left with her father, she was brought up with a strict set of rules until he met Jacklynn where things changed only slightly. She was a very bossy woman, yet lax at the same time. Lia could not quite understand what it was about Jacklynn, but she made her father a good man rather than the drunk he was. She turned him all around.Other:
Even with Jacklynn in the picture, there were still rules that were strictly upheld, but they were not as obscene as her father's and only requested that Lia tell the truth. Doing this one thing, her punishment would not be as bad as if she had lied. So, Lia spoke only the truth and quickly found it to be true. When her little brother, Francis came into the picture, things changed drastically though. Though Lia was the favored by her father, Jacky started paying more attention to Frank and acted like he could do no wrong. Without the same rules in place, Frank began to turn into a natural bad boy and only Gerald was there to say no, but Jacky always let him go. This ended yet another marriage where Jacky got Frank and Gerald got his dearest daughter, who was at the time seventeen years old while Frank was ten.
Graduating early, Lia soon started going to the police academy and learned everything she wanted there. People looked at her oddly for her views, but she enjoyed everything about putting bad guys behind bars. Yet, crimes started showing up that seemed impossible and Lia's abnormal theories made her the target for mocking. Not caring enough, she got through the academy at the top of her class and when she was nineteen years old, she became a rookie police officer. Here, she began to do everything she thought was right and her theories continued as odd crimes were done. Her fellow police laughed at her as case after case was unsolved because no one would back her theories.
Her theories were noticed by the FBI, however, and they took her under their wing. Open to a whole new world, Lia was set free to do what she does best. Her partner was forced to follow her lead, even though Lia was only twenty-two at the time and viewed as a child in the agency. Soon, she began to find the real reasons for all of what was going on in these crimes as she ran into her little brother during one of the crimes she was investigating. He had a mask on, but she knew his voice when he entered the bank and shouted at everyone to get down on the ground. There were three others there and none of them had guns. Instead, her brother shot out lightning from his fingers like he was Darth Vader. By instinct, she drew her pistol and screamed at them to give it all up. They didn't. Lightning shot around her as pulled the trigger and planted a bullet right between her brother's eyes and slowly went through the lines, killing all but one. The last one managed to actually escape by running right through the wall and her case was almost closed.
After that event, she was approached by a group that called themselves Friends of Humanity. They claimed they had been watching her for some time and wanted her to work with them in order to put people like her brother behind bars. She agreed and because of that, she got a new partner since some strings were pulled and has been working for the FoH ever since. Luckily for her, Lia also managed to keep her job in the FBI and is now a well respected agent that has caught many mutants and turned them over to the FoH without question. After all, a normal prison could not hold them and the FoH seem to know what they are up against.
Lia is a workaholic.Sample RP:
The scene was your ordinary murder scene, the only thing that was odd was the fact the man was entangled in vines. Being told he was choked to death was rather clear as she noticed the red mark around his neck, but there was much more wrong with him. His left leg poked out of his skin, showing his knee had been busted, and his right arm dangled there by only a string of skin. Whoever he was, he was clearly tortured before the end came to him. It must have been difficult to stay awake with a puddle of his blood on dripping onto the ground. A shudder came to Lia just thinking that someone could do such an act without any remorse. 'Mutants deserve to be killed,' she thought to herself as her partner snuggled up next to her.
Turning her gaze to the man, she shook her head slowly, "What the fuck is up with your hair, Darius?" she queried him since his hair was spiked today. Normally he wore it rather neat and tidy, but now he was just trying to be odd. He asked what was going on and she quickly informed him of everything she knew or suspected at the time. "Beyond all of that, we don't know much, not even the man's name. Apparently he didn't know what a wallet was, or he was robbed. Yet, this could all be apart of some sex club that just went too far," she jested in her own way and Darius simply shook his head slowly. Darius soon made some snide remark and she giggled softly, "Yes, and next we will be signing our names up to be the next couple choked to death by plants," she jabbed at him.
