Lt. Harry J. Shane (Father/Deceased)General Appearance:
Julie K. Shane (Mother)
Greg has a dirty blonde hair which he usually wears up in a spike-like manner by the use of hair gel. He has light brown eyes and he barely has any facial hair due to his daily shaving routine.Personality:
His build is proportionate for someone standing 6 feet and 2 inches. Growing up in a military based family, his body was built up and it can be shown by the well sculpted muscles on his biceps and pectoral regions. Gregory has the nearly perfect set of abdominals but it’s not due to the fact he doesn’t eat that much. Only reason why you can see his abs is because he’s slightly thin.
Gregory can be described as the fun-loving guy out of the team. Greg’s sense of humor mostly pits him as one of the team’s jokesters even when they’re on the field. When on a mission, the team better watch out for one of his cracks of quips. However, when things get serious, he can be serious. Greg will get focused on the team’s task at hand and contribute on how they can finish it together. In the group sense, he knows his place and role within the x-men to get the job done. Greg’s fun loving nature extends back at the mansion where Greg would still joke around and lighten up the mood up. To the younger students, Greg fills up the ‘big brother role’. He is perceived to be approachable and friendly which is actually true as he tries to be there for the younger students if they need help with something. For Greg, it feels good for him to help out others since it’s the right thing to do. When alone, he would usually spend his solitary time reading comic books or working out at the training room to keep his physical being well fit for missions.Abilities:
Being a comic book reader since his childhood, Greg’s biggest dream is to become a super hero. Heck, even just being on par with his father as a role model would be nice for him as well. Joining the X-Men seemed to be how this dream became a reality. For him, it’s both a pleasure and a duty to protect others from the ‘evil doers’ by using his powers. Not only that but he can see himself now as one of those people can look up to and be a good role model. Hopefully he can be a good role model for humans and mutants alike.
Wind Manipulation: Gregory's power is to manipulate the wind that is within a 250 yard radius. This wind can be used by Gregory in a variety of ways. Usually, he uses the force of the wind within his control to forcefully push or shove an object/person out of the way. He can summon winds up to 111–130 mph, the same intensity that of a moderate hurricane. With his powers on maximum, it can do so much as to cause massive structural damage to 2-3 storey buildings while it can do moderate damage to bigger buildings. His wind powers can be used to lift objects that weight up to 500 lbs. His own wind manipulation can also help Greg’s body have the ability of flight.History:
In the future, Gregory might have more control of his powers that he can further develop his wind intensity and speed that to 150 mph and above. But when he uses his maximum powers, it can be physically and mentally draining. He can sustain his highest intensity for about 2-3 minutes tops before he stops due to exhaustion.
20 years ago a boy was born into the world as Gregory Harold K. Shane. He was a son of Lieutenant Harry Shane of the army and his wife Julie. He stayed with the family at the barracks in Dallas Texas for the early part of his childhood. Growing up, he didn’t have the typical childhood as he and his mother were usually stuck at the barracks while his father served active duty in the base or in the field. Since he was 4 he started to read comic books and loved the aspect of being a super hero. He also had a deep admiration to his father for being in the military. He used to hang around with the other kids in the barracks and play with them.Other:
When he was about 13 years old, he started to see his dad more often in the barracks. The reason why he was back more often was that his job outside the country was done and he was now relegated to administrative matters. During his time with his father, it won’t be a game of catch. Gregory was introduced to the military workout by the elder Shane. Every morning he would wake up and jog around the barracks, do a number of pushups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, whatever his father put in his way. To both of them, once he was 18, he would be in active service for the country. For his father, there was no better way to prepare Greg than a head start.
When he was 16 years old, however, his mutation started to develop. Early on his head seemed to throb so much. These major headaches also came with spells of dizziness. Those days, he felt like the wind felt so strong while he walked outside with his head throbbing. Finally, it surfaced one day when he was being mugged at the alleyway. He tried to say he had nothing, but in his panic, his powers activated and sent the muggers hard on the nearby wall. Greg was shocked to discover that he had he powers to shove people on walls with strong winds. Days later, similar incidents occur, only in a small scale. These small scale incidents would be his items flying away from him since he was about to reach them, but the powers just pushed them away more.
Weeks passed and one day, Professor Xavier went to the barracks. Xavier had a talk with Greg’s parents and invited Gregory to his school. His parents saw this as an opportunity for Greg to leave the barracks and see the world. So they were ok with him moving out and be shipped off to the institute.
At the age of 17, he was formally introduced into the Xavier Institute. During the same year, he heard the news of his father passing due to heart attack. It did hurt Greg much, but with his resolve, he vowed to just keep training and be a better person. After all, that’s what his father would have wanted him to do, excel in life and be a good role model. 3 years into his stay at Xavier’s he has become one of the members of the X-Men, ready to defend the world against evil doers.
He loves comic books so he has a big stash of comic books in his room. Don't touch them without his permission!Sample RP:
"Ok Greg, here we go. Just relax, calm down, chill"
Gregory just stood outside a huge mansion. The man is seen wearing a light brown suit and a black long sleeve shirt inside. His green-dyed hair is combed over neatly as if Mr. Shane was out just in time for prom. Gregory has his luggage held on his right arm while his left arm is just scratching the side of his pants. With his head tilted down and his eyes closed, he started to take a couple of deep breaths before he eventually opened his emerald eyes and looked up at the front door.
"So this is the institute that my uncle told me a couple of days ago. Dizzam! It is such a very huge house when you go here in person."
He took a step forward, just an arm’s reach from the doorbell, but he does not reach for it. The green-haired boy looks a bit hesitant to press the button.
"Why? Why can’t I just press it and get it all over with? I know I need to live in a safer place than in that apartment of mine since Jerry is growing suspicious about me being a mutie. C'mon Greg! PRESS THE DAMN BUTTON!!!"
He finally draws the courage to press the doorbell and he makes a sigh of relief as he hears the following.
*ding-dong*
He hears a couple of footsteps coming to answer the door and he has a smile on his face.
"FINALLY! I did it! I'm gonna be a part of this institution's students. Safe from the outside world that both hates me and fears me. Wait, that line sounds familiar to me. I wonder who it might be"
Soon enough, the footsteps starts to sound a bit louder. LOUDER than what he expected. He gulps and thinks.
"OH NO! It might be some sort of mutant who is a beast or something! Or worse..oh mighty minerva..dont tell me I'm in frankenstein's house....what do I do?! WHAT DO I DO NOW?!"
In a panicked state, Gregory starts to look around the surroundings before he tosses his luggage towards the nearest bush on his side. He turns to his left side and quickly hides on the bush while someone opens the door.
"Hello?", the man says after he opens the door. He shudders after a couple of seconds before he eventually closes the door yet again. After a minute, Gregory crawls out of the bush and slowly stands up.
"Ok..so that didnt go exactly as I planned....
